Vancouver, BC October 31, 2014— Later Stage Global Top 30 for the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) 2014 Later Stage Awards. Terramera PlantScience was nominated for these Awards by Canada’s GreenTech Exchange. The prestigious Top 30 is chosen from a list of companies nominated from around the globe and “… represents some of the world’s most esteemed cleantech companies based on potential investability in their various cleantech industry sectors” explains Dr. Peter Adraens, Head Judge of the GCCA – Later Stage Awards, and CEO of the KeyStone Compact Group Ltd, a global strategy and investment-level business analytics company.

Terramera PlantScience develops high-performance biopesticides for agriculture, bee health and public health applications by combining the power of natural plant bio-active compounds with innovative chemistry.

This innovative company is commercializing highly-effective, sustainable solutions that can be used for organic food production, conventional farming as well as consumer and commercial pest control. Terramera’s technology has the potential to replace toxic conventional pesticides with potent plant based alternatives. The company has field trials underway successfully testing their patent pending formulations against a variety of parasitic pests and plant diseases.

Their highly effective and sustainable solutions for crop protection and crop health will be commercialized and used for organic food production and in conventional farming. Products in commercialization include CIRKIL & PROOF, effective replacements for chemical pesticides in commercial and consumer pest control. These products were fast tracked by the US Environmental Protection Agency due to the market’s need for an effective, non-toxic alternative to chemical sprays.

“We are honored to have been recognized for our commitment to developing effective and minimally toxic pest control solutions and are very proud to be included in the Global Top 30 for the Global Cleantech Cluster Association. We firmly believe that sustainable, environmentally friendly products can be more effective than conventional chemical products and are proud that our current products fulfill this promise of being

more effective than chemical pesticides without issues of toxicity and environmental persistence” said Karn Manhas, President and Founder, Terramera PlantScience

Terramera PlantScience and the other Top 30 semi-finalists will now be evaluated by an extensive list of venture capital and cleantech judges. With more than $3.5 billion invested in clean technology, the GCCA judges include SJF Ventures, Blue Hill Partners, Spring Capital, Sofinnova Partners. The GCCA Later Stage Awards ceremony will be held on December 3, 2014 at the CleanTech Investing Seminar in Lausanne, Switzerland.
