Terramera’s OMRI-Listed Triple-Protection Pest Solution RANGO™ Now Available in California

TERRAMERA'S OMRI-LISTED TRIPLE-PROTECTION PEST SOLUTION RANGO™ NOW AVAILABLE IN CALIFORNIA

VANCOUVER, BC – October 2, 2019 –  Terramera®, an emerging cleantech leader with revolutionary technologies to transform how we grow food, announced today their broad-spectrum biopesticide RANGO™ has been approved for use in California by the Department of Pesticide Regulation. RANGO™ is a proven, highly effective tool for controlling pests on fruit and vegetable crops from start to harvest, providing triple-protection against insects, mites and fungal pathogens. It is OMRI-Listed for use in organic agriculture and can also be used as part of an integrated pest management program for conventional farming.

RANGO™ controls target pests on contact or by ingestion. It offers multiple modes of action as an antifeedant, insect repellent, growth regulator and fungal growth inhibitor and has been proven in extensive field trials to control powdery mildew, downy mildew, botrytis, mites, aphids, thrips, whiteflies, and worms, among others in a wide variety of crops.

“We had an extensive flea beetle outbreak on our kale earlier in the summer. After three applications of RANGO™ at a rate of 1.8% v/v with a 7-day interval, the flea beetles were gone and the new growth looked great. As kale is a long season crop with multiple harvests, using RANGO™ definitely pays off,” said Greg Wilt of Sublime Organics in Oregon.

The latest in a series of exciting developments for Terramera, RANGO™ showcases the company’s advances in agriculture technology with better handling, superior emulsion and stability properties, a zero-day pre-harvest interval and four-hour re-entry. While synthetic crop protection products continue to be restricted by regulatory authorities, RANGO™ offers growers an alternative.

“RANGO enables farmers to integrate a high-performance plant-based alternative, without having to change their farming or spraying practices. This is an important new tool for both organic and conventional agriculture, and can be used on its own for superior control, or in rotation,” said Karn Manhas, Terramera Founder and CEO.
